Spektrum had their new 3 channel micro receiver on display which features improved latency by up to 3.0 milliseconds, smoke-gray fuel-proof case, low voltage protection for vehicles running on 4 cells, and a weight of a mere 6.5 grams! But above all, the receiver is only 1/3 the size of Spektrum's original SR3000 receiver, making it the worlds smallest 3 channel racing receiver. If your not good with visualizing measurements, the receiver is the width of your finger!
The Spektrum SR3500 receiver will be available soon for around $100.

Dynamites new C4 brushless motors were on display at the Horizon Hobby booth next to a cool looking box. The C4 brushless motor is available in two strengths; 8000Kv and 9200Kv. Up until now, the Castle Creations Mamba CM20 motors dominated the 1/18 brushless market, but Dynamite says no more! The C4 motor features longer run times and higher speeds, without all the maintenance of a typical brushed motor. The 9200Kv is a step up from Castle Creations' highest kilovolt motor, the 8000Kv. And although it is unlikely anyone can control a micro at 9200Kv, the option is there for those who dare to give the throttle and their differential gears a try!
The Dynamite C4 brushless motor will be available soon for around $60.
