There is no best.
There are no fastest, but the Team Helotes 7.2V or United RC X71 (7.2V) packs should be sweet.
Li-Po is Lithium Polymer. Lithium being the battery, and polymer meaning man made. There are also Lithium Ion's. LiPo's are extremely fast, but also dangerous because of charging fires.

www.cheapbatterypacks.com offers three different custom 1100 battery packs that will fit the RC18T. Three different prices to fit your budget. The most expensive is $18.50 with a HPI connector. The cheapest generic packs are about $11.50.

Only way your getting an 8-cell is if you custom order it or make it yourself. No such thing as one for the RC18T. And yes, it will help. Imagine running 2 cells. It would barely move.

Sure will!! But first you need to check to see if your ESC/receiver is rated to handle 8 cells else you risk burning them up. The stock ESc is rated for only up to 7 cells. Also realize that that the motor will burn out much quicker if you run it on 8 cells.

If you want to go faster, I'd suggest a motor and a ESC upgrade before adding more cells.

I've got a couple GP 1100 6 cell packs on order right now.

The stock speedo will only handle 7 cells. Here is a link to a 7 cell pack.

Jeff (team helotes) is correct. A 7 cell is 8.4V. The stock ESC (AE XPS) can handle 8.5V.
