Whoever's selling this had a pretty good idea. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=44028&item=5940227605&rd=1 . I might just make one of these myself since I'd like to upgrade my radio equipment but my other reciever is somewhat bigger than the stock one.

Very good idea. With the Novak XRS and the Fantom Mini-Mod motor installed, it's a tight fit on the electronics side. I would like to move the reciever over to where they have it and put the XRS on the top in place of the reciever. :)

Thats a cool idea, but it looks like a poorly made item. I'd rather purchase it from someone like Cold Fusion Racing (they can make it clear lexan, or graphite). :)

For those weight freaks out there (I am not one of them) this may change the balance of the vehicle a tiny bit.

I cropped the picture and re-uploaded it to imageshack for you. The thing is, it looks like you scanned it. But if you scanned it, the date would not be there. Digital cameras put the date on it.

Good luck finding a black dogbone on brown dirt. Hard to find parts unless they are shiney or bright colored. You can order some new ones though:

Phone: (714) 850-9342
Mon to Fri, in the hours of 8:00am to 4pm, PST (California time), excepting holidays.

or order online

Just checked out their other auctions, and they have updated the battery strap, by cutting some holes in it, and calling it a "Pro version" It looks way better, more like a real part, and lighter to boot!! that would be way cool done in some of that blue carbon fiber you can buy. Check it out:

Tried making a custom Lexan RC18T battery lay down bar. Going to paint this one metallic blue as my RC18T theme is blue aluminum. This is only a prototype and I will be making some mods later including "X" shapes that'll make it lighter. Overall the purpose of a wider battery lay down bar is to be able to mount the receiver on it rather than have the receiver on the top plate (which isn't such a nice place to put it). The pictures above show the reciever mounted on the top plate, not the battery lay down bar.

i know brp now sels that black battery strap and the lithtend version they call 'Pro'
you can also run a 4 cell reciver pack type of batery lay out, not sure why u would but they make the shorter battery strap too

I just realized something. Team Associated has a blue graphite 6/7 cell hold down, but not a 4 cell one. Then again, who in their right mind would use 4 cells?

I purchased one of the battery straps from the guy on e-bay, 2 actualy. They are made by him, but they are NOT shoty craftsmanship. I am very pleased. I had to make the hole where the body pins go slightly larger than what they come. But other wise, basicaly weightless and very nice looking. If I can get a camera that works since my digi is on the outs, I'll post some pics.
