Dual Cell Mod

Just done the Dual Cell mod to my LXX but for some reason my 2nd cell drops from 1.4volt when not connected Down to 0.00 Volts when I solder it to Micro... No idea whats wrong cos I followed the instructions carfully... also tried charging the RC 3 - 4 times and still no voltage in 2nd cell...

I used a 120mah Cell and a 80mah Cell for the 2nd battery (Could this be the problem...??)

Well I dont know much about batteries but i would bet the mah is your problem. Try using another 120.

the cells I used when soldering didn't work either. But somehow when I take the second cell off and put the one cell back it works. Kinda wierd. Probably should get some 2 GP cells..

Shogun - My Car is running With the 2 Cells fine, but it says its suposed to read over 2 Volts if it worked but its not reading over 2 volts :'(.

For somereason my car has stopped working all together now.... only works when on the charging pod of the controller... gonna set it back to 1 Cell for now I think

Try replacing the batteries in the controller and also check and see if your antenna is still soldered on good (im assuming you've done this already but it never hurts to ask).

I think its the soldering iron...need a chisel tip instead of the sharp tip. This would work better. I also need REAL battery bars. I was using wire :lol:

Yea I used wire as well (The Guide said to use wire) and my soldering Iron is a Hobby Iron 12Volt..

stampede - Checked all that :'( gonna convert it back to single cell and hope it will work :thumb:

Car is Working now :D they have to be both the same Mah rating :thumb:
